🌅 Modeh Ani

מוֹדֶה אֲנִי לְפָנֶיךָ

Modeh ani lefanekha

I give thanks before You

מֶלֶךְ חַי וְקַיָּם

Melekh chai ve’kayam

Living and enduring King

שֶׁהֶחֱזַרְתָּ בִּי נִשְׁמָתִי

She’hechezarta bi nishmati

Who has returned my soul to me

בְּחֶמְלָה

Be’chemlah

With compassion

רַבָּה אֱמוּנָתֶךָ

Rabah emunatekha

Great is Your faithfulness

💨 Elohai Neshamah

אֱלֹהַי, נְשָׁמָה שֶׁנָּתַתָּ בִּי טְהוֹרָה הִיא

Elohai, neshamah shenatata bi tehorah hi

My Elohim, the soul You have given me is pure

אַתָּה בְרָאתָהּ

Atah veratah

You created it

אַתָּה יְצַרְתָּהּ

Atah y’tzartah

You formed it

אַתָּה נְפַחְתָּהּ בִּי

Atah n’fachtah bi

You breathed it into me

וְאַתָּה מְשַׁמְּרָהּ בְּקִרְבִּי

V’atah m’shamrah b’kirbi

And You preserve it within me

וְאַתָּה עָתִיד לִטְלָהּ מִמֶּנִּי

V’atah atid litlah mimeni

And You will one day take it from me

וּלְהַחֲזִירָהּ בִּי לֶעָתִיד לָבוֹא

Ul’hachazirah bi l’atid lavo

And restore it to me in the time to come

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ

וְהָיוּ הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה

V’hayu had’varim ha’eileh

And these words that I command you today

אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי מְצַוְּךָ הַיּוֹם

Asher anokhi m’tzav’kha hayom

Shall be upon your heart today

וְשִׁנַּנְתָּם לְבָנֶיךָ

V’shinantam l’vanekha

And you shall teach them diligently to your children

וְדִבַּרְתָּ בָּם

V’dibarta bam

And you shall speak of them

בְּשִׁבְתְּךָ בְּבֵיתֶךָ

B’shivtekha b’veitekha

When you sit in your house

וּבְלֶכְתְּךָ בַדֶּרֶךְ

U’v’lekhtekha va’derekh

And when you walk on the way

וּבְשָׁכְבְּךָ וּבְקוּמֶךָ

U’v’shokhbekha u’v’kumekha

When you lie down and when you rise

אָבִינוּ שֶׁבַּשָּׁמַיִם

Avinu she’bashamayim

Our Father who is in the heavens

יִתְקַדֵּשׁ שִׁמְךָ

Yitkadesh shimkha

May Your Name be sanctified

תָּבוֹא מַלְכוּתֶךָ

Tavo malkhutekha

May Your Kingdom come

יֵעָשֶׂה רְצוֹנְךָ

Ye’aseh retzonkha

May Your will be done

כְּבַשָּׁמַיִם כֵּן בָּאָרֶץ

K’vashamayim ken ba’aretz

As it is in heaven, so let it be on earth

אֶת לֶחֶם חֻקֵּנוּ תֵּן לָנוּ הַיּוֹם

Et lekhem chukeinu ten lanu hayom

Give us today our daily bread

וּסְלַח לָנוּ עַל חֲטָאֵינוּ

U’selach lanu al chata’einu

And forgive us our sins

כְּפִי שֶׁסוֹלְחִים גַּם אֲנַחְנוּ לַחֹטְאִים לָנוּ

Kefi she’solchim gam anachnu lachot’im lanu

As we also forgive those who sin against us

וְאַל תְּבִיאֵנוּ לִידֵי נִסָּיוֹן

V’al t’vi’einu lidei nisayon

And do not bring us into trial

אֶלָּא הַצִּילֵנוּ מִן הָרָע

Ela hatzileinu min hara

But deliver us from evil

כִּי לְךָ הַמַּמְלָכָה וְהַגְּבוּרָה וְהַתִּפְאֶרֶת

Ki lekha ha’mamlakhah ve’hag’vurah ve’hatif’eret

For Yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory

לְעוֹלְמֵי עוֹלָמִים. אָמֵן

L’olmei olamim. Amen

Ruach Elohim, lead me in Your truth today.

Teach me, correct me, and strengthen me.

Clothe me in compassion, patience, humility, and self-control.

Let the fruit of the Ruach be manifest in all I say and do:

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Breathe Your life into me, that I may live as a vessel of the Kingdom.

וְצִוָּנוּ לַעֲסוֹק בְּדִבְרֵי תוֹרָה

V’tzivanu la’asok b’divrei Torah

And commanded us to immerse ourselves in the words of Torah

Today, I clothe myself in the armor of light:

The belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness,

The sandals of readiness to proclaim shalom,

The shield of faith to extinguish all flaming darts,
